The Honor Recognizes Excellence in the Government Contracting Industry

May 3, 2019, McLean, VA – Ripple Effect was selected as a finalist for the 11th Annual Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) Awards. Winners were announced at the SECAF Awards Gala on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Hilton McLean in Tysons Corner. The event honored small and emerging government contractors and industry players that rely on small business.

Ripple Effect was a finalist for the Government Contractor of the Year ($7.5 to $15 Million in Revenue) award, which recognizes companies that have shown a compelling and profound commitment to excellence in financial performance. The four other companies selected as finalists in this category were Dark Wolf Solutions, LLC; Expedition Technology, Inc.; Phoenix Operations Group; and SNA International, LLC.

The Government Contractor of the Year ($7.5 to $15 Million in Revenue) award went to Expedition Technology, Inc., a Dulles, VA-based technology firm specializing in signal and image processing solutions for defense and space clients. While Ripple Effect did not win the award, it was honored to be selected as a finalist among such prestigious competition and to have its leadership team representing Ripple Effect at the Awards Gala.

“To me, being selected as a finalist for this award is proof of our success, and the journey we’ve been on,” said Ripple Effect president and CEO Amy Bielski. “It’s how our capabilities have expanded, how our infrastructure has evolved, how our culture has taken shape—those combined and grew into a mission to work smarter and perform better, and I couldn’t be prouder of our people for making us who we are today.”

“For more than a decade, the SECAF Awards Gala has been regarded as the consummate awards event honoring the businesses delivering exceptional levels of quality in the government contracting community,” said Curt Anderson, Vice President of Corporate Growth at Strategic Resolution Experts, Inc. and SECAF Board Chair.

“It is a privilege and my distinct honor to recognize Ripple Effect as a tremendous example of leading by serving others. The organization demonstrates the discipline required in the face of adversity, the absolute can-do attitude, and the commitment to our customers’ missions which enable our government contractor ecosystem to reach higher levels of growth, maturity, and success.”
