In 2004, Women in Technology (WIT), the premier professional association dedicated of the advancement of women in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia technology community, recognized Amy Bielski, our President & CEO, as a “Rising Star” for her contributions to the field of technology.

NIH Plain Language Award

The NIH Plain Language Award is issued by the NIH Office of Communications and Public Liaison to encourage clear communications in NIH offices, institutes, and centers. A flyer that Ripple Effect developed for the NIH Loan Repayment Program was selected to receive the 2011 award.

2022 Moxie Award

Ripple Effect won the 2022 Moxie Award in the GovCon category. In the DC metro community, the Moxie Awards celebrate and recognize the accomplishments and achievements of growing businesses, nonprofits and associations.

2021 Greater Washington GovCon Awards™ Finalist

2019 SECAF Awards

Ripple Effect was selected as a finalist for the 11th annual Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) Awards. Ripple Effect was a finalist for the Government Contractor of the Year ($7.5 to $15 Million in Revenue) award, which recognizes companies that have shown a compelling and profound commitment to excellence in financial performance.

2018 Washington Business Journal Fastest Growing Companies

Ripple Effect was named one of Washington Business Journal’s 75-fastest growing companies in the greater Washington area, ranking #41 overall among over 2,000 local companies considered.

NIH Director’s Awards

Ripple Effect has been honored with eight NIH Director’s Awards for our support in several initiatives, including the Genome-Wide Association Studies Policy, Financial Conflict of Interest Policy, and Enhancing Peer Review.

“Woman in Science at the NIH” Acknowledgement

In 2007-2008, as part of its efforts to address women’s underrepresentation in science, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), recognized Jennifer Pohlhaus, our Vice President, as a “Woman in Science.” This award highlights the successful careers of talented female scientists and engineers at NIH.

Excellence and Innovation Award from the U.S. Office of Government Ethics

In 2011, the United States Office of Government Ethics recognized the National Institutes of Health and National Institute of Nursing Research for excellence and innovation as a result of their official duty activity form that Ripple Effect created for them using SharePoint technologies. The Excellence and Innovation Award recognizes executive branch agencies that demonstrate ethics program success.

Extreme Dedication Awards

Ripple Effect has been honored with several Extreme Dedication Awards from the NIH Office of Extramural Research. In 2009, Jennifer Pohlhaus, our Vice President, received a team award for her integral role in developing an NIH guide to enhance peer review and facilitating revisions to the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). Jennifer also received an individual award for her valued contribution to the Enhancing Peer Review project.
