Rockville, MD; September 14, 2020—Ripple Effect® a private consulting company focused on supporting federal and private clients in primarily the biomedical sciences and health spaces, today announced that the company has earned ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system.
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS), developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Organizations use the ISO standard to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements, and the ISO 9001 certification provides a model for companies of all types and sizes to use in building an effective QMS.
“This certification will help make us more competitive and position us for long-term success,” said Ripple Effect President and CEO Amy Bielski. “It will help us save time, reduce risk, plan smarter and perform better, and deliver more consistent service to our customers as we continue growing.”
The ISO 9001:2015 standard is based on several quality management principles, including having a strong customer focus, involvement of high-level company management, an outlined process-based approach, and ongoing enhancements to that approach. More than one million organizations from more than 160 countries have applied the ISO 9001 standard requirements to their quality management systems.
Ripple Effect will focus on principles of customer focus, leadership, people engagement, process approaches, continual improvement, evidence-based decision making, and relationship management—principles that the company has always valued.
“Our company mission is Work Smarter, Perform Better,” Bielski continued. “And the ISO certification not only reinforces that mentality and commitment, but gives us new tools to make our customers successful.”
