June 7, 2019, Rockville, MD – Ripple Effect was honored as Woman Contractor of the Year by the 2019 American Express Business Excellence Awards. Winners will be recognized at the American Express Summit for Success event on June 13, 2019 in Washington, DC. The event honors small businesses that have shown all-around excellence in government and/or corporate contracts for business growth and development.
Ripple Effect was selected as the winner of Woman Contractor of the Year award, which recognizes a female business owner who has leveraged her WOSB or WBE certification for business growth and development through government and corporate contracts. Ripple Effect’s outstanding achievements in government contracting, trajectory of growth, and culture stood out to the American Express awards selection committee.

About the American Express Summit for Success
The American Express Summit for Success is designed to help grow businesses through government contracts, corporate procurement and exporting. The Summit for Success brings a host of resources together for a full-day event to help businesses do more business and reach new customers. Attendees and honorees will be able to network with government agencies, international buyers or large enterprises, receive free professional headshots, and attend several panels throughout the day.
The Summit for Success will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Marriot Marquis in Washington, DC. The Business Excellence Awards ceremony will take place between 1:00pm – 2:00 pm.

The American Express Business Excellence Awards Program is open only to businesses in the United States that have entered into procurement agreements with U.S. government entities (each a “business.”) The award is proided to a business, not a particular individual entering the program. Criteria includes revenue for the past year as well as projected revenue for the upcoming year, expanded projects as a result of government contracting success, and showcasing strategies that help applicants stand apart from the competition.
