Get to Know Patrick McCarthy and Timothy La Rose

Ripple Effect is excited to announce updates to our leadership team! Please take a few minutes to read about and connect with two of our new Directors.

Patrick McCarthy, Director of Strategic Growth

Many of you know Patrick as Ripple Effect’s former Director of Communications & Outreach, a position in which he has thrived since 2016. During that time, Patrick helped grow the Communications team’s size, capabilities, and client portfolio, expanded Ripple Effect’s brand in the marketplace, and served as an invaluable member of our leadership team.

As the Communications Director, Patrick had a direct hand in countless business development initiatives, partnerships, contracts and more. This experience led to an expanded role in 2018, when Patrick began serving as Acting Director of Strategic Growth on top of his Communications Director duties.

We’re thrilled to welcome Patrick into his new full-time role as the director of the Strategic Growth division. This role will centralize our business development efforts, from capture to partnerships and proposals, and provide us with more capacity as we continue to grow. We can’t wait to see where Patrick will lead us!

Timothy La Rose, Director of Communications & Outreach

We are equally delighted to welcome on board Timothy La Rose, our new Communications & Outreach division director. Timothy comes to Ripple from RTI International, where he was Senior Communications Manager for the USAID/RTI International ENVISION project. He has more than 20 years of communications experience in both the private sectors, supporting clients and missions across the globe.

Timothy previously worked as the Chief of Communications for both UNICEF Guinea and the United Nations Office on Children and Armed Combat. He led digital communications for the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, and worked on internal and external communications projects at UN Headquarters.

Throughout his career, Timothy has worked in: Washington D.C.; New York, NY; Conakry, Guinea; Vienna, Austria; Nairobi, Kenya; and Doha, Qatar. His experience managing communications teams spans diverse areas, including: children, education, health, human trafficking, transnational organized crime, conflict, international development, child protection, and the music industry. We are excited for Timothy to continue growing Ripple Effect’s Communications team, leading our projects, and delivering stellar work to our clients.
