Ripple Effect’s Research & Evaluation Team Will Continue to Deliver Process and
Program Evaluation Support that Advances NIAID’s Mission
ROCKVILLE, MD; August 9, 2019 – Ripple Effect has been selected to provide evaluation services to the Strategic Planning and Evaluation Branch (SPEB) of the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). This contract continues the support that Ripple Effect has been providing to SPEB under a previous three-year evaluation support contract.
Valued at up to $7.5 million over five years, the new contract will provide program planning and evaluation services related to institutional leadership for systematic, trans-NIAID strategic planning, evaluation, and policy analysis to support and advance NIAID’s mission. This project has been funded in whole or in part with Federal funds from the NIAID, NIH, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract No. 75N93019D00035.
Through the contract, Ripple Effect will work collaboratively with SPEB to collect, analyze, and interpret information to answer important questions that guide SPEB and NIAID’s programs. Ripple Effect will provide a range of program evaluation support to SPEB, from feasibility and evaluation design studies, needs assessments, process evaluations, outcome and impact evaluations, to evaluation training.
“Ripple Effect is proud of the evaluation services we have provided to NIAID over the past three years, especially in emerging areas such as bibliometrics,” said Jennifer Pohlhaus, Ripple Effect’s Chief Operations Officer. “Through our work with SPEB, NIAID has increased its evaluation capacity, including both qualitative and quantitative methods, and covering areas such as process and outcome evaluations, as well as evaluation training,” added Pohlhaus. “We’re honored to continue our relationship with SPEB and help NIAID succeed in better measuring its programs and processes over the next five years.”
