Today, we’re excited to announce Ripple Effect’s new “Furlough to Fellow” program, a short-term initiative that we designed for mid-career professionals who have been furloughed or laid off from their primary jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Furlough to Fellow program will bring a small group of professional fellows into Ripple Effect on a short-term basis, during their furloughs, to help them earn income, learn new skills, and support meaningful company initiatives.

Consultant (Furlough to Fellow program): These individuals will be hired on a 1099 basis, meaning selected fellows would be hired as independent contractors to Ripple Effect, on a temporary status through the duration of their projects.
Fellow (Furlough to Fellow program): These individuals will be hired as W-2 employees, meaning selected fellows would be temporary, non-exempt employees of Ripple Effect through the duration of their projects.
