Conducting Comprehensive
Needs Assessment for
Breast Cancer Survivors
The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) sought to better understand the physical activity needs of breast cancer survivors and healthcare providers. They required support in launching a needs assessment that would yield meaningful, actionable data to shape an intervention tool.
Our Goal
Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to inform the development of a physical activity prescription tool for breast cancer survivors, enabling the client to take actionable next steps toward clinical integration.
Our Path to Success
Ripple Effect managed and executed key phases of the needs assessment process, including IRB submission, survey development support, and participant recruitment through a professional agency. We administered surveys to survivors and providers, managed the data collection, and delivered the final dataset to NIMHD, laying a strong foundation for future tool development.
