Delivering Real-Time
Public Health Solutions
for Homebound Populations
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) engaged Ripple Effect to support its rapid-response initiative addressing COVID-19 vaccine access for individuals unable to leave their homes. The work demanded agility, accuracy, and deep public health expertise. Ripple was tasked with supporting expert convenings, conducting policy research, and developing a policy brief, all while the scope evolved alongside emerging national guidance and funder input.
Our Goal
Rapidly develop actionable policy guidance, support expert convenings, and provide technical assistance to help ensure COVID-19 vaccine access for homebound older adults and people with disabilities.
Our Path to Success
Ripple assembled a cross-division team to conduct subject matter expert interviews, lead grey literature and social media research, develop a policy brief, and support two national convenings of policy makers and public health innovators. We also facilitated twice-weekly huddle calls to share field insights and created polished graphics that helped communicate findings. When the client requested an additional tool based on our extensive data catalog, we quickly pivoted to produce a Guide to Innovative Practices, an unexpected win for communicating with critical audiences.
